Itinerary
Day 1 BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
Day 2 ARRIVAL IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY. You are met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 BUDAPEST. In 1873, the twin cities of Buda and Pest joined with ancient Obuda to form a new, unified city, Budapest. Charming and beautiful, the city was declared a World Heritage site in 1987. Your morning sightseeing tour includes all the main attractions: the Parliament, Royal Palace, Castle Hill area, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Coronation Church, Hero's Square and Gellert Hill with its Citadel. The balance of the day is free. (B)
Day 4 BUDAPEST. Full free day. Stroll down the Vaci Utca, a pedestrian street where the city's most sophisticated shops are located. Optional excursions are also available. (B)
Day 5 BUDAPEST / VIENNA, AUSTRIA. Your local host will assist you with transfer to the railway station. Upon arrival, your Vienna host will assist you with a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 6 VIENNA. Vienna, Austria's capital, has a rich history dating back to Roman times. Your morning sightseeing tour starts with a drive to see the Town Hall, City Park, State Opera House, Empress Maria Theresia Monument, Votive Church and the Belvedere Palace. View the Prater amusement park with its giant Ferris wheel and the modern United Nations City. The highlight of the tour is an inside visit to Schönbrunn Palace. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 7 VIENNA. A full day at leisure. You may want to stroll through town, relax, or pay a visit to an enticing Viennese pastry shop. (B)
Day 8 VIENNA / PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC. Your local host will assist you with the transfer to the railway station for your trip to Prague, where your host will assist you with a transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. (B)
Day 9 PRAGUE. Prague has a long and colorful history, from its early days as a bishopric, to becoming the residence of the Bohemian kings, and later the capital of both Bohemia and the Holy Roman Empire. The city today is a wonder to behold, with beautiful architecture, lush green hills, and graceful bridges spanning the Vltava River. A city tour will start with the panoramic drive to Wenceslas Square, the Strahov Stadium and Castle Square. During your walking tour, visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany with gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Church and Loretto Church. Stroll over the Charles Bridge to view the Jewish Ghetto and see the world famous Astronomical Clock. The balance of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 10 PRAGUE. A full day at leisure. Enjoy the walk along Prague's winding cobblestone streets and admire the town's marvelous baroque architecture. Optional excursions are also available. This evening you may want to attend an optional cultural performance. (B)
Day 11 DEPART PRAGUE. Your homebound flight arrives the same day. (B)
Add 3 Nights in Berlin to Your Vacation! Day 1 ARRIVE IN BERLIN, GERMANY. Upon arrival in Berlin, you are met and transferred to your hotel, where the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 BERLIN. Make your way to the Kurfürstendamm to join a tour of the German capital. Start with a drive along tree-lined Unter den Linden Boulevard to the Bradenburg Gate. View the Congress Hall, Tiergarten, Opera House, Schiller Theater, Charlottenburg Palace and Kaiser Wilhelm's Memorial Church. Continue on foot to the Reichstag and the main shopping street, Kurfürstendamm. The afternoon is free to explore on your own. An optional tour to historic Potsdam is available. (B)
Day 3 BERLIN. A full day at leisure. You may want to do some last minute shopping or, perhaps, pay a visit to world renown Egyptian Museum, housing the famous Bust of Nefertiti. Be sure to take advantage of the city's fine restaurants and nightlife. (B)
