Days 1-2	Bangkok	Glimpse a slower pace of life on a longtail boat ride along the khlongs and enjoy a guided tour of Wat Pho.
Day 3	Chiang Mai	With over 300 temples, a whole host of restaurants and wonderful markets, there's something for everyone in Chiang Mai.
Day 4	Chiang Khong	Get a final taste of Thai food in this frontier town.
Day 5	Pak Beng/Mekong River	Ride a barge down the majestic Mekong, cruising into the revered Pak Ou Caves.
Days 6-8	Luang Prabang	Take a sawngthaew to the spectacular Kuang Si Falls before exploring lovely Luang Prabang.
Days 9-11	Vientiane	Call into chilled-out Vang Vieng on the way to Vientiane. Trawl the vibrant morning market for local treasures or visit Phat That Luang, Laos' most important national monument.
Day 12	Lak Sao	Set amid strikingly beautiful forests, mountains and karsts, Lak Sao is a scenic stop.
Days 13-15	Hanoi	Wander the wide streets of Hanoi taking in pagodas, lakes and French-style cafes.
Days 16-18	Halong Bay	Explore caves and discover quiet bays while cruising among the majestic limestone islands. Transfer to Lang Son.
Days 19-20	Hua Shan/Luizhou	Enjoy a peaceful first night in China in Hua Shan, accessible only by boat.
Days 21-22	Chengyang	Step back in time and cross into the Dong village of Chengyang over one of the many 'wind and rain' footbridges.
Days 23-24	Longji Terraces	Enjoy the incredible views from the 'dragon's backbone' of rice terraces.
